This is a residential solar PV installation with back-up generator. The project is on the north side of Chicago completed in April, 2014. We used black Stion panels to give a sleek, low-profile look. Solar Thermal installation provides domestic hot water. Chuck is very knowledgeable about solar, battery backup and renewables and will provide you with detailed information regarding the work we performedWe have worked with the Illinois Clean Energy Foundation to provide a grant for the installation to help offset the costs.
This 40 kW installation helps offset 20% of the total annual energy the building uses. It is set on a low slope roof a little more than 5 stories tall. It has been a pleasure working with the foundation, namely, Greg Kobielinski, to make this project happen and make it a win for everyone.
